Innovation in Light of the Perfection of the Shari’ah

Ocak 16, 2007

Shaikh Muhammad bin Saalih al-Uthaimeen

Verily, all praise belongs to Allaah alone, we praise Him, seek His aid and His forgiveness. We repent to Him and seek refuge in Him from the evils of our souls and the evils of our actions. Whomsoever Allaah guides there is none to misguide and whomsoever He misguides there is none to guide. I bear witness that there is no diety worthy of worship except Allaah alone and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger. Allaah sent him with the guidance and the true religion and he conveyed the message, fulfilled the trust, advised the ummah and strove for Allaah as He ought to be strived for until there came to him the certainty. He left his ummah on a pure and clear path, whose night is like its day and none deviates from it except one who is destroyed.

Understanding Islaam

Ocak 16, 2007

Shaikh Ibn Uthaimeen

The Shaykh said in Sharh Usoolul-Eemanan (pp.4-7):

[1] The deen (religion) of Islaam: It is the way of life that Allaah sent the Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam with. By it, Allaah terminated the validity of all other religions, perfected this religion for His worshippers, completed His favour upon them and has chosen only this religion for them – no other religion will be accepted by Him from anyone. Allaah – the Most High – said:”Muhammad is not the father of any man amongst you. Rather he is the Messenger of Allaah and the khaatim (last and final) of the Prophets.” [Soorah al-Ahzaab 33:40].

The Importance of Aqidah

Shaikh Muhammad Bin Saalih al-Uthaimeen

The Messenger of Allaah explained to the people -completely and clearly-what their Lord had revealed for them; both the detailed matters and the important ones, the apparent matters and the hidden ones, to such an extent that he taught them what they needed to know with respect to matters of eating, drinking, marriage, clothing and housing. So he taught them the ettiquettes of eating, drinking and relieving one’s self; the ettiquettes of marriage; the ettiquettes of clothing and of entering and leaving the house – just as he taught them what they needed to know with regard to the worship of Allaah -The Mighty and Majestic-such as purification, Prayer, Zakaah, fasting, Pilgrimage and other than this.

The Names and Attributes of Allaah

Ocak 13, 2007

Shaikh `Abdul-`Aziz Bin Baz

The Shaykh-hafidhahullaah-said: (1)

From Eemaan (faith) in Allaah is to have eemaan in those of His Asmaa’ul-Husnaa (Beautiful names) and Sifaatul-Ulyaa (Lofty Attributes) that occur in His Great Book and that have been affirmed by His trustworthy Messenger (sallallaahu `alaihi wasallam) -without tahreef (distorting the wording or the meaning), tateel (divesting or denying the Attributes), takyeef(asking how) or tamtheel (resembling Allaah to any of His creation). Rather,it is obligatory to leave them as they came, without takyeef (asking how) or tamtheel (resembling Allaah to any of His creation). Along with this, it is also obligatory to have eemaan in the meaning that Allaah-the Mighty and Majestic-has been described with, in a way which befits Him: without resembling Him to His creation in any of His attributes.

The Origins of Shirk

Ocak 13, 2007

Shaikh Naasir ud-Din al-Albaani – Tahdheerus-Saajid min Ittikhaadhil-Quboori Masaajid

From that which has been established in the Sharee’ah (prescribed law) is that mankind was – in the beginning – a single nation upn true Tawheed, then Shirk (directing any part or form of worship, or anything else that is solely the right of Allah, to other than Allah) gradually overcame them. The basis for this is the saying of Allah – the Most Blessed, the Most high:

“Mankind was one Ummah, then Allah sent prophets bringing good news and warnings.” (Surah Baqarah 2:213)

Ibn ‘Abbas – radiallaahu ‘anhu – said:

“Between Nooh (Noah) and Adam were ten generations, all of them were upon Sharee’ah (law) of the truth, then they differed. So Allah sent prophets as bringers of good news and as warners”(1)

An Explanation of the Truth of Monotheism

Ocak 13, 2007

Shaikh Salih al-Fawzaan

Praise be to Allah, the Almighty, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the Universe, and peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, last of the Prophets, and upon all those who adhere to his example until the Day of Judgement.

Faith is the foundation upon which the whole structure of nations is based. Therefore, the progress of each nation is dependent upon the maintenance of its faith and ideology. Thus, all Prophets (peace be upon them) have called for true faith. Every Prophet told his people from the very beginning, “Worship Allah, the Almighty. You have no other god but Him”.(1) “We assuredly sent amongst every people an Apostle, (with the command), Serve Allah and eschew evil”.(2) This is because Allah the Almighty created all people to worship Him alone and set up no associate to Him. “I have only created jinns and men that they may worship Me”.(3)
